WEST AUSTRALIAN THROUGH and THROUGH!

Don arrived in the Pilbara for the first time in 1973 as a 17 year old to work in the then fledging iron ore industry at Cape Lambert (near Wickham).

This was the first of many adventures that would take him into outback Western Australia to work and play.

He has also travelled and worked extensively throughout Australia as well overseas and he has worked and lived in three different foreign countries.

Don has spent most of his extensive working life living the Aussie dream of ‘being your own boss’.

Today Don enjoys working as a contractor delivering workplace training and assessing to mostly mining and transport industry workers.

He is also a licensed Investigator and loves nothing more than helping people find justice.

Don is also a volunteer Ambulance medic, Bush Fire Brigade Officer and Chamber of Commerce committee person.

Throughout Don’s long and continuing working, travelling, entrepreneurial and learning journey he has come to understand a lot about the world; about human nature (both good and bad); about greed, lies and injustice, and about how important it is for working people, on behalf of their families and friends, to protect, not only their own individual material wellbeing but also their ‘communities’ health and wellbeing.
