Jay Gillett
HOW TO VOTE FOR ME

Jay has always enjoyed being a hands-on member of the community. He has been an administrator of local sporting bodies and is a Life Member of the Tompkins Park Sporting Association and the Palmyra Rugby Club. For his tireless efforts as a community volunteer, Jay received the most valued ‘Citizen Award’ for the City of Melville, presented to him by the Mayor.

With a varied and interesting working background, Jay commenced his working life with a trade apprenticeship. Later, he worked in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions, and was a stevedore at the Fremantle Wharf.

For many years, Jay ran his own large and successful construction company and then moved into his current field of building consultancy work.

Jay takes a strong interest in local, national and international politics and believes one needs to THINK global and ACT local for things to improve and change for the better.

A stoic believer in the future of Western Australia, Jay thinks we need to have people in Canberra with a breadth of knowledge and life experience who will work for Western Australia first and foremost.
