Hence, we must be careful to utilise them in such a way that there will be reserves left for future generations, and to protect the environment from long term damage through erosion, pollution and other impacts.
We are blessed with abundant sunshine and in the last decade, large deposits of lithium have been found, an essential component in the production of solar batteries. Western Australia could play a big part in the transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy if we are to start now.
