How many major services can we lose to the Eastern States?

The weather bureau, air traffic controllers, major portions of the armed services (is the SAS in danger of shifting?) and the ABC, are just a few of the major employers that are increasingly calling the Eastern States home. When the Federal decision makers are in the East it is hard to put a case forward for WA.
A quick view of the morning TV stations show how east coast-centric the media has become. The ABC supplies Melbourne news to their radio listening public in the evenings and weekends in Perth.

We need representation in parliament and a voice from the West.

The Western Australian mining industry forms the backbone of the national economy but the head offices of the major players in the industry are based in the East or overseas.

We feel that if any company derives most of their income from Western Australia, their headquarters should be based here.
